A snow-bound village in the grip of a north-east Anatolian winter.. One day, the traditional horse-drawn sleigh, which ferries villagers to the nearest town, is up against a rival: a gleaming red minibus. Knowing the minibus can’t take the short cut across the frozen lake, the sleigh driver bets his rival that he’ll reach town first. In the battle of wills that follows, the passengers in both vehicles are hapless bystanders. True to the local tradition, they begin sharing dramatised tales on the theme of stubbornness.
